HEAL Africa, through its project Tugenge Taifa just built four new health facilities and rehabilitated one in the health zones of Alunguli and Kindu.

The official ceremonies opening the new clinics took place in Kindu on Thursday, May 20, 2010, and were attended by the Provincial Medical Inspector of the Maniema Province, and a delegation from the German Government who is funding the program. The Provincial Medical Inspector of Health thanked the donors and HEAL Africa for all their achievements in the Maniema Province. Dr. YUMA RAMAZANI promises to ensure the proper use of keeping records. The beneficiaries are satisfied especially since these new health structures will improve the quality of care for people in the region.

The Project Tugenge Taifa has endowed each building with equipment consisting of surgical kits, microscopes, sphygmomanometer, thermometer, weight scale for adults and babies, birthing beds, and much more. Each building has also been equipped with latrines, incinerators, water pipes and electrical wiring.
