International Day of Women

Today the streets of Goma were overflowing with women marching - it is the International Day of Women. Thousands of women marched, proclaiming an end to violence, and a cry to return to good governance. It was a powerful statement of what Congolese women can do when they unite. Unfortunately the women of this region have been stripped of power, representation, and justice. But today they are sending out a clear message - this must end, and they are prepared to stand up against this injustice.
